ADULT DAY PROGRAM

Mariposa Centre provides a vibrant and caring environment for adults who remain at home, often under the supervision of family caregivers, but who desire the social interactions that come from venturing out into the larger community.

Mariposa Centre's skilled staff deliver a range of appropriate activities for residents, as well as nutritious meals, bath assists and other wellness activities. The facility's mini-bus picks up residents from their homes in the morning, and drops them off in mid-afternoon.

While the focus of Mariposa Centre's Adult Day Program is on the resident, home-based caregivers also benefit from having their loved ones attend the program. Providing 24 hour personal care to family members can sometimes be a challenge. Having their older family members attend Mariposa Centre frees up time for caregivers during the day to attend to their own personal needs in a relaxed manner. A few hours of respite makes a huge difference in the lives of caregivers, allowing them to resume their supervision duties with renewed vigor.
